Where Can I Lay a Wreath?
There are veterans buried in virtually every cemetery in Canada so you may well find a veteran's grave in your nearest cemetery. But Wreaths Across Canada is starting out by concentrating on the National military Cemetery at Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa.
The main entrance to Beechwood Cemetery is located at 280 Beechwood Avenue which can be approached from St Patrick's street or the Vanier Parkway. From the entrance follow the road with the yellow centre line to the National Military Cemetery or follow the signs that will be put out for the ceremony.
The National Military Cemetery may also be reached from Saint-Laurent Boulevard. This entrance is about 900 meters North of Montreal Road. Again follow the signs.
Our ceremony will start at 1:30 pm on the first Sunday, of each December.
