Members of the public, as well as members of the media, are invited to attend the sixth Annual Wreaths Across Canada Remembrance Service on 3 December 2017 at 1:30 pm, at the National Military Cemetery located on the grounds of Beechwood Cemetery at 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa.

Warrant Officer (Retired) Frank J. Larabie, MMM, CD, President of Wreaths Across Canada is pleased to announce the Service will be attended by dignitaries from our allied nations. Representing the Canadian Armed Forces will be Major-General Nicolas Eldaoud, Assistant Chief of Military Personnel. As well, the service will be attended by Katherine Spencer-Ross, Director, Stakeholder and Outreach at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Wreaths Across Canada ( is an organization made up of veterans and current serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces whose sole purpose is to remember the men and women who served their country in times of peace and conflict and who now rest in cemeteries across Canada.

This year, due to financial difficulties, we are placing Wreaths at the beginning and ends of all rows and personnel will be able to register for a wreath to place on their family member’s or comrade’s grave.

Change in Operations for Service of Remembrance

As previously identified for environmental and economical reasons we have made adjustments to the Wreaths Across Canada Service at the National Military Cemetery at Beechwood.

Not all graves will receive a wreath this year. Wreaths will be placed at the beginning and ends of all rows and Family members attending the Service will be able to lay a wreath on their loved one’s grave.

As always, WREATHS ACROSS CANADA endeavours to “REMEMBER” those members of the Canadian Forces who lie in military cemeteries across Canada; “HONOUR” those who served Canada as members of our military forces; and “TEACH” Canadian youth the value of freedom.

Thank you
